FEMA Workers provide New In-Person Mobile Registration Intake Centers (MRIC) Location

Allen Parish Civic Center is hosting a FEMA Mobile Registration Intake Center

Address: 609 Tiger Ln, Oberlin, LA 70655

The MRIC will OPEN Wednesday, Sept. 16  from 9:AM to 5:PM, thereafter to continue every day from 9:AM to 5:PM 7 days a week.

FEMA will provide the initial Registration Services, limited technical support for current applications.

NO Document Drop-off Services Available, at this time. Document Service will be available at this location at later date TBD.

All MRIC services are conducted outside to ensure CDC, COVID-19 safety protocols and social distancing guidance.

Special Note: Hours are subject to change and service may be canceled due to safety and weather advisories, watches and warnings. As always, keep tuned to local weather alerts.

Mobile Registration Intake Centers (MRICs) are another option to expand the reach of FEMA personal assistance when the Drive-thru Recovery Center option is (at this time) unavailable. MRICs are set up at local sites to provide a drive-up/walk-up option while still maintaining social distancing. Additional MRIC locations in Allen Parish will be opening soon.

These centers operate under strict COVID-19 protocols to ensure visitors are safe. Masks or face coverings are required for entry and service. Survivors remain in their cars. A specialist wearing a face mask will receive documents through the window and return them.

No appointments are necessary. Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week.

Allen Parish will have a Drive-thru Recovery Center (document drop-off) coming soon.

Additional centers are open in Louisiana. Survivors may visit any open center. To locate the closest center, call the FEMA Helpline,

Also the Blue Roof Project from the Corp Of Engineers is at the Allen Parish Civic Center to sign anyone up that may have not been able to do so online or by the phone.
