As you progress into the weekend and as the rain continues in our area, Please be mindful of the roadways which are starting to flood. Please be cautious and limit travel to necessity only if possible. Remember if the water is high on a roadway do not drive thru it as it may cause adverse affects to your vehicle like washing it off the roadway into a ditch. Allen parish has prepared for these trying times and we have placed sand and sand bags at the Police Jury Barns in the Kinder, Oberlin and Oakdale area if this is needed by you for protection from the rising waters.
