FRIENDS,

 The Sheriff's office is receiving reports that families that have family members who are in our jail facility, are being contacted by email and then by phone, persons identifying themselves as a deputy or a representative of the Allen Parish Sheriff's office. The person is telling the family member that if they pay a certain amount of money to the organization for an ankle monitor, that their family member would be released. They are asking that the people make a payment of $180 through ZELLE or CASH APP.

THIS IS A SCAM.

The Allen Parish Sheriff's Office will never ask you to make payments through ZELLE or CASH APP.

This is a fraud being conducted by scammers to obtain your money and possibly your personal information. DO NOT give any personal information to these persons at any time.
